There has been an issue when filtering variable products where variations have stock and others don’t. It has been a tough issue to fix. After working on the alternative approach of using a new lookup table, the development of the feature were divided into three pull requests: Creation and filling of the table, actual usage of the table for filtering and synchronization of the table data whenever a product is created, modified or deleted. On track for the August 17th release, this update includes the change of WooCommerce Admin 2.5.0.
