This is a new weekly update with news around WooCommerce and a bit of WordPress core. It will be a curation of news with short descriptions and a link to help you stay on top of both Woo and WP as a builder.
This minor release set for May 11th includes an updated WooCommerce admin, a fix of the continue button and some tweaks to the store setup wizard.
A recap of highlights over the last month that you might have missed. These include updates in the Developer Resources, WooCommerce Core, Admin and Blocks. Resources had several number new packages and updates, WooCommerce Admin released Beta 2.3.0 and WooCommerce blocks 4.8 was also released.
WooCommerce announced that it has invested in PeachPay, a one-click checkout plugin.
The domain Woo.com has been purchased by Automattic at an undisclosed amount. It now redirects to WooCommerce.com. Interestingly enough, as the article states, the previous owner did not want to sell, but I guess there is always a price.
The month in April on WordPress included the 5.7.1 launch and the latest version of Gutenberg 10.5. There were also a lot of updates on full site editing including a feature demo, the next steps in shipping the chosen features that will come in 5.8, and a Full Site Editor outreach testing call that you may want to keep on top of. Lastly, WordCamp Europe 2021 is on the calendar and, again, for the safety of the community be virtual.
